| Wanda Metcalf  Most of my subjects come from nature, ranging from landscapes to animals to still lives of bones and shells. Water is a recurring theme. Trying to capture images realistically yet artistically in this difficult to control medium is an ongoing challenge. Tantalizing glimpses of success keep me going.
Working from photographs, watercolors or my imagination I also compose images on the computer. These tend to feature layers and textures and are more abstract. Multiple ’undos’ encourage experimentation.
